My Name is Randy Brush, and I'm a former professional musician living in Grinnell, Iowa. The music on this site represents my more "experimental" side. It includes music from 1996-2004, but also will be the springboard for more original and experimental material from now forward.
"F.O.G." with Bill Spallino
we called our process "Spirit Conjuring". We would improvise for hours using an electronic drumkit, and Bill's Korg. After listening to them all, we would select the absolute best and multi-track the rest of the tune. You will hear those results here, which I hope you enjoy.
"Thanks" is a tune by our friend Chuck Blaser, I just added the percussion afterward
"Randini"
Bill has been merciless over the years about my little compositional "ditties" I got to know Acid Pro pretty well, and started messing around with the different types of rhythms and samples in electronic dance based music. I made a point of using samples and beats from different genres to see what kind of music I could compose. These are all original compositions.
According my friend Waldie, who you can hear on several tracks, "Housing Project" was a big hit in the Czechoslovakia dance clubs. He took several tracks with him last time he visited home.
"Poking The Dragon"
Experiments in Sound, with loops and everything & anything else lying around my drum room. Steve and Adam came over the other day, and the result was "The Boomwhacker's Tale" Listen to it and you can see why. Tons of fun in both conception and execution.....I'm sure you'll see them here again..
"Temple Block Diffusion" is something I threw together in my music lab for a compilation called "Heavy In The Beats Vol. 1...A Different Drum" for guy I met via twitter named Andrew McCauley (aka Kind Beats). pretty cool
