The NEW YEAR is a plastic theatre performance: plastic etudes based on a particular subject are played by a team of young Russian drama actors who experiment here with wordless theatre. Author of the performance, Philipp Grigorian, thinks that today text impedes the freedom of art process: «The most valuable in theatre is a presence of a man on stage. This is a miracle by itself, to which we have got used so much that we simply do not notice it. What I lack at the theatre is a human - «warm», clumsy and charmed with illusions».
