Mark Dougherty plays music under the name, The Lake Isle.
To date, The Lake Isle has penned a double “A-Side” single, which consists of early demo versions of “Into the White” and “Sinners and Saints”; both of which are currently being re-recorded at Pinebox Studio (brainchild of Brian Haran, guitarist of Greensboro’s Filthybird) for an upcoming full-length LP.
The Lake Isle blurs the acoustic stylings of Mojave 3, the lyrical work of Sun Kil Moon and the vocal prowess of the Stereophonics, and adds its own blend of lush guitars, expansive harmonies and dreamy atmospherics

Hey Mark - I was quite impressed with your music. I'd love to come hear you play sometime soon. I'm not scheduled to play anywhere anytime soon but I'm surely not opposed. I just haven't been real active in looking for shows. I'm a student at UNCG at the moment and will be for about another year. I'm a native Rocky Mount-ian (Rocky Mount, NC that is). I've lived in Greensboro for about 2 years now.
Its good to have you as a friend and local artist here on Virb. Maybe we could play a show together sometime.
