The Moutown Project was born in september 2005, in a very old classroom of our engeineering school, the ENSEA. At first, there were only Vivien, Matthieu, Florian and Michael, trying to create a band in the pure funky style. Then, they recruited 3 more members ( Robo, Jules-Ed and Yann ) to put more power in their music. The first apocaliptic show, on Decembre the 8th 2005, was quite successful. Then Florian and vivien started to write new songs. Michael left the group. Julien joined the band just before Yann had to go to Germany. Romain joined the group in September 2008 and had a lot of work to do with the others to prepare the spring and summer 2008 shows.

The Moutown Project naquit un beau jour de septembre 2005, dans un amphithéâtre à moitié délabré où nombre de gens palabraient pour savoir comment organiser le planning du local de répétition de l'ENSEA. A l'origine de cette formation, il y avait Vivien, Matthieu, FLorian et Michael. Le mot d'ordre était de créer une musique plutôt soul funk. Ensuite les autres sont arrivés (Robo, Jules-Ed, Yann) pour apporter de la puissance de feu. Le premier concert à la cave le 8 décembre 2005 rencontra un franc succès ma foi. Puis Florian continua de composer, Michael quitta le groupe pour se concentrer sur sa mission de BDEiste après avoir contribué à la création d'une ode au sauscisson. Julien intégra le groupe en novembre 2006, ce qui permit à Flo de reprendre la trompette sur les (rares) morceaux où il ne chante pas. Romain nous a rejoint depuis septembre 2008, et a eut beaucoup de travail à accomplir, avec tout le monde, afin d'etre prêt pour notre serie de concert du printemps et de l'été 2008.
