i tried to make this earth a little piece of heaven and ended up with a living hell ... so now i'm giving up like i should have started with and falling flat on my face and hoping to make some tear stains on Jesus' t-shirt ...

this poser's life is over for me and it's time to take a stand ...
and if you don't believe me then unfold your arms and lend a helping hand ...
cause it's contagious like a virus and it'll spread throughout the land ...
oh i've gotten a taste of what it's like to be on the lower end ...
i've been so broke i didn't have change to give a high five to a friend ...
i felt so lost i had a note but no bottle to send it in ...
i got so sad i killed myself and buried me in the sand ...
it was then and only then that i realized it's not by my own hand ...
so now i'm calling you out and i'm looking to the stands ...
for all world to get on their feet and at least recycle cans ...
who'll make a move, so bold, so cruel, to kill the biggest band ...
of heartaches and bad breaks and poverty as the leading man ...
cause hell is a place where we all ache and no one can get along ...
and heaven is a melody where we all pitch in and make a glorious song ...
