Hi Im Eddie Goa.. Introducing the Trance Art Form!!.. I have not got anything fancy to say to u at this point, so im just going to keep it all quite brief and simple for now..
I started making music seriously around 2 years ago now, around about the time that I was (really).. only just discovering electronic music.It was shortly after this that I was then introduced to the almighty genre that is.. Trance!!.
I guess you could say that Im listening to a lot of underground Trance at the moment, Im not a fan of most commercial Trance nowadays really [the classics are an exception of course!!]. But It's not just Trance music that Im influenced and inspired by though. I listen to music from many other different styles and genres too. This keeps the mind and ideas.. Fresh.
This I think is so important.. To be as diverse and open minded as possible.
I don't like the fact that you need to decide whether your either this or that, or that you're into this or that. You cant just stand there and say that the music you listen to is right, and another persons musical taste is wrong. Thats like stating that the color pink is wrong and that blue is right..? Right? lol.
Most of my music is Instrumental.. where the emphasis is based within all the melodic elements in the track. But recently I've started to get into vocal production also. At the college I go to at the moment, we have access to as much studio time as we need, providing that the studios are free at all in the first place that is!. Its great, you can either bring in a vocalist yourself, or they'll find you one from the music/performing arts courses elsewhere in the college. Im studying Music Technology there, I enjoy most of it but Im being told about most of the stuff that I know already. But this course will open up the right doors for me so I can get a job in the industry. (Thats the plan anyway). Id like to do production work, or be a sound designer maybe.
