The Wenzels http://virb.com/thewenzels About The Wenzels The Wenzels have been making music since 1992 in all sorts of incarnations including industrial, electronica and for over 10 years alternative guitar driven rock. Just when you think you've heard it all The Wenzels come up with something completely different. Don't hastily judge this band or you won't have the full picture. The Wenzels have been compared to such greats as the flaming lips, weezer, depeche mode, cake, prince, lou reed and bowling for soup. You listen and you be the judge. The Wenzels got their big start in Okinawa Japan, but life took them on a wild ride all the way to the other side of the world where they landed in Germany. The band now resides in New Jersey, where they continue to write and record songs and play live. In 2000, The Wenzels were featured on the very first tribute to weezer album playing their favorite song "Mykel and Carli". After that they were featured on an album called "New Kid Fake Headbutt" that was distributed widely at the Vans warped tour. Chris (Singer/songwriter/guitar player) continues to be the heart of the band, doing all of the music production, recording and songwriting. Keeping a band going is very difficult. We are in the New Jersey/Philadelphia area and currently are searching for a Bass/Upright bass player.
