The WOMBATS have proved themselves to be an unstoppable force in the past 12 months. In 2007 alone the band played an impressive 272 dates, and they've launched into 2008 at a similarly frenzied pace. Having performed at the opening ceremony of the Liverpool Capital of Culture in January, which saw them play on a car park roof with Ringo Starr to 60,000 people, they will spend the next few months touring Japan, Australia, the USA and Europe, before returning in April to headline their biggest UK tour to date. Every date of the tour is sold out, with dates including Brixton Academy and a very special one-off show at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
