DigiWax is the name of a new product from UK record company First Word Records. The Leeds based company are big vinyl junkies and supply into the DJ market. They do realize, however, that vinyl isn't great for everything. While some of us love the feel and size of a nice thick 123, it's not easy to rip that for use on portable players.
DigiWax cleverly gets around this by supplying every double-weight vinyl release with a password that lets you download the whole album from their website. The MP3s are DRM free and encoded at 320kbps. They also sell vanilla downloads (no vinyl required) and pre-loaded USB sticks. The first release is Problems and Solutions by Kidkanevil.
