There is something about those moments between parent and child I just can't resist.

Every now and then a striking little pictures presents itself, and I consider it my responsibility to capture the moment. Which is what I tried to do here.

Another one of those parent-child moments I couldn't help but catch. If you look close, the duck in the cage has an afro. It's funny :)

I wish I had then the camera and lenses I have now - this was an amazing shot and I just didn't have the equipment to do it justice.

she was the "it girl", the one to see, all color and flash and light with just the hint of a promise she would never keep, that you would never hate her for breaking. And now she sits in a veil of smoke with her lipstick leaving memories on the filter, and tells you in a voice like silken sand that she has always been here, and will be here long after you have gone on to better. She is in the structure of it all, she is the neon and the mosaic and the seashells and she permeates every fresh coat of paint laid over collapsing plaster. She is what she is, and pretends nothing more. And at night, in sultry summer or wistful winter,she puts on her tiara and opens her arms wide and says Come. Remember.

I liked the way the light was doing. It made him sort of shiny, and then I thought if he was a seagull, his name would be Jonathon Livingston, but he wasn't, so I just called him Hans.

Bryce is as determined to catch this puppy as the puppy is to avoid being caught. (bryce wins.)

One of my favorite pictures. These are my future father-in-law's boots, outside the door of his apartment in Savannah, GA.

If I tell you what church this is from, I'd have to pay some sort of fine or royalty or something. But their pamphlet prohibiting anyone from using any of their own personal pictures of the church, that they took themselves, anywhere ever for anything annoyed the crap out of me. So, being the rebel that I am, I took a picture that made me happy but gives no clues as to it's origins, and I posted it all over the internet for poor people who have never seen church architecture to see - for free!!

The texture and colors of this wind chime fascinated me. I was only vaguely aware of the dirty looks the shop girls were giving me taking pictures instead of dishing out the $21 for it.
