As the story usually goes, a promising band packs up and moves to Los Angeles with hopeful intentions of becoming successful. With a low chance of survival, most bands inevitably disband. Although Busby calls Philadelphia home, this native east-coaster set up his early musical career in Nashville. While frustrated he could not assemble his own band, Busby took note from fellow singer songwriters on Nashville's thriving indie music scene and began to work on his solo EP "Paper Lions" avaliable on itunes. Busby concentrated on recording techniques used by solo and Lo-Fi artist such as Iron & Wine and Elliott Smith. By 2004, Busby had received the Nashville local press Starvvy Award for Best Male Solo Artist. Drawing from the musical stylings of influences such as Nike Drake and Ben Harper.
