This week I've caught up on some much needed sleep and relaxation (when my neighbours haven't been blaring loud music or renovating). Sent off the family xmas presents. Watched 6 of the 16 Monkey discs, that show is so funny. Highlight so far is when Monkey is fighting a water demon in a lake, all shot underwater. The demon is swimming around in the ocean but all the shots of Monkey are done in a pool as the water is lovely and blue and you can see the black lines on the bottom :)

Also had a Lord of the Rings marathon, again. Played Wii Sports several times, still no closer to being a tennis pro (they keep pairing me with people who have no stats and playing me against people who have stats in the thousands) I need to play against actual people again maybe then I can go up instead of down. Same with bowling only I lost my pro status there :( Oh well at least it's not as painful as actual bowling.

Apart from watching bad tv, really long movies and games I went to the art gallery and saw this exhibition: www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/exhibitions/current/mountainsandstreams
loads of beautifully painted scrolls and a little bit of sculpture/pottery. Quite a few of them were faded and dark but given the age of them I think the ink has held up quite well. It's lovely to look at them and follow the journey of the people/animals in them as they wander through the landscape.
Add to that some lino printing and this week has been pretty good. Made a print of my gerbras pic and did some rain and a chinese inspired pine tree which didn't quite work out as I'd hoped but the process is still fun.

Today is my birthday and if you don't already know how old I am. I'm not going to tell you :P Still not sure what I'm going to do, something fun, why am I awake this early?! I know I can open the gifts I've been moving around my apartment for a week, I know what they are but still Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
