      <description><![CDATA[i decided at some point this afternoon that i had to have a wild mushroom burger for dinner, so tonight i went out for dinner by myself. everyone always finds this startling when i say it, "i am going out to dinner alone." why is that? i ate dinner and smiled midwesternly. my waiter couldn't help but almost laugh at my smiley-ness. it was contagious. he kept smiling back. i walked down a block and had a latte at starbucks. indulgent. i learned how to make a patchwork pillowcase from readymade. i walked two blocks and got strawberry ice cream. double indulgent. i kept smiling so much my ice cream scooper asked me, "are you excited?" i realized i was. i smiled at her. she smiled back. "yes." i thought of nyc and jen.]]></description>
