Road Trip!

My wife and I just got back to Seattle from a road trip to southern California, and I'm having a little trouble getting out of the daze that results inevitably from twenty hours on the open road, divided unevenly over two days. The drive, which seemed relatively …

The Poem of the Mind

My wife and I are out of town this week, so I'm not doing any serious writing.

Telescopes

A few posts back, I wrote about my brief attempt at writing poetry as an undergrad. I mentioned that an attempt at Spenserian stanza that had been subsequently discouraged by my professor and was, in turn, revised into what was supposed to be a sestina. Well, I've …

Hey Traynor, doesn't look like we're going to make it out there this year. We're writing for our next record which we are hoping tour with next spring/summer.

Good to hear from you,
Best,
Brookln

yah, just moved back from LA. working full time at my dad's catering company. it's pretty fun, but totally different than being in school full time.

Well he has the entire record up for streaming, so I've listened to all but one song. But I've just streamed it once.

I haven't got a chance to listen to the entire Ringing Bell yet, but from what I've heard I would say that you're right.

:)
my boyfriend's band did a video with all cardboard instruments.
it was quite fun.
how are you!?

Justin N., May 13, 2007:

Oh I am a huge fan of Long Gone Before Daylight. "For What It's Worth" and "Communication" are really amazing songs. You should really get an account on Mog, it lets you display your entire iTunes library and it syncs to iTunes to tell what you've been playing lately, top plays, top songs of the month, etc. It's really an awesome site. Mine is www.mog.com/justin_newell

You know I'm not particularly opposed to that idea. I'm looking to write for a music publication after school so living in another Northwestern city like Seattle or Portland has crossed my mind, but I know I'll be here in good ol' Idaho for at least a few more years. But... I do want to get up to Seattle at least once this Summer because that would be awesome, maybe go see a Mariner game and of course see the cousins and in your case (cousin's husband/cousin-in-law?).

Not sure if I could handle the rain though, ha.

Justin N., May 5, 2007:

Well that's no fun, but a fateful way to get an awesome guitar.
