I never intended to get an iPhone because I just can't stand the fact that you have to go with AT&T as your carrier. I've been satisfied with T-Mobile, and really didn't want to leave them. So, the Touch was a great alternative. I've been playing around with It for a few days now, and I'm in love. What's to love you ask? Let me list them for you:

  • Wi-Fi access
  • Direct access to iTunes
  • The App Store
  • Video playback: I can now carry this on a plane to watch movies on as opposed to lugging around my laptop all the time
    Music library
  • Touch screen: this thing is phenomenal. I thought the typing on it would be difficult, but to my pleasant surprise, it's very easy to get used to. In fact, I'm writing this entire post with it right now.
  • My favorite part, however, is the personalized engraving that my wife had put on the back.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend an iPod Touch to anyone. It has nearly everything the iPhone has, except for the phone service, and the constant Internet access. Personally, I can do without this. That is what my Blackberry is for. ;)

It's because of this, and the fact that our beautiful baby girl was born that I bought her the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi as her "push present". I figured that this would be a great starter camera for her, with which she could learn to take great photos. It turns out, I was right. In the past 9 months since she's had the camera, she has taken some really fantastic photos.

So, I decided to give the iTunes store a chance, and take a gander at some audio podcast options. I went to the comedy section, and low and behold, I found an awesome podcast that I have been listening to constantly for the past week. The name of the podcast is called "Uhh Yeah Dude (UYD for short)" and is hosted by two guys from LA, Seth Romatelli and Jonathan Larroquette. If you recognize the second name, like I did, you're probably wondering if he's related. The answer is yes, he's his son.

Anyway, this is a very entertaining podcast. These guys give great commentary on current affairs from around the globe that you may not have heard about. They like to discuss what's going on in Hollywood, and also, my personal favorite, "What's on Craigslist?". And can I ask, if you wouldn't mind terribly, can you possibly, maybe remove that and sort of expose the twins for me?

So, if you're in the mood for something funny, and have grown tired of listening to music, give this podcast a shot. Plus, it's free, and there are currently 143 episodes to satisfy your comedic hunger.

This is a completely new design, which is surprising, since the last "new" design was done only a few versions ago. These changes, however, are very welcome. So far I'm digging the new interface.

I'm actually writing this post from the "QuickPress" section of the "Dashboard". I'll have to play around with it a little more, but for right now, I'm liking what I see.

You will more than likely recognize this first site, kjvandfamily.com, as I used the same WordPress template, with a few minor modifications.

I really enjoyed creating the second site, villageofsecor.com, as it is entirely managed via WordPress. This is the first time I've used WordPress to manage an entire site. Doing it this way makes me want to make this site managed entirely in WordPress. But that will have to wait. As my free time is at a premium these days.

With this site, I had my client pick a template from WordPress.org. Once picked, I then modified it slightly to work better with the theme of the site.

Since I had the themes for both sites nearly built for me, I was able to develop them in a short period of time, and get them rolled out quickly. I must say, when looking at the time spent on each, I'm very happy with how they turned out.
