listen when you've got a minute to chill.
the music of umegaoka (pronounced uu-may-gah-oh-ka) is 100% improvised. it started with 2 people for a few years, now 3 is the base, with others who jump in at times. tracks are recorded live in tokyo. umegaoka has finally finished mastering tracks for a CD and is currently shopping for a zillion dollar contract, which would of course include finger sandwiches.

I've often heard it said that the live scene in Tokyo doesn't support experimental music as much as some would like. However we've played a bunch of shows which were completely 'out there' as far as the type of performances and have seen quite a bit of successful …
