The sole creation of Erica Dunham, material began to be written under the moniker of "Unter Null" in the year 1998. After years of classical piano training, as well as cello and guitar, the foray into electronic music began.

Unter Null started off as a powernoise project highly influenced by other artists back in the day such as Noisex, Converter, P.A.L., and a lot of the Ant-Zen/Hands roster.

The first demo was released sometime in 2000 as a self-titled CD with a bunch of really shit tracks. Don't go seeking it out ;)

Later on, there was a bunch of talks with Leech of NTT/Annihilvs Records and a web-only release was put out in 2002 called "NEOCIDE". It's still hanging around online - check out www.annihilvs.org/unter-null.

Around this period love for noise starting meshing with love for melody and I went back to my roots of classical music and melded the two together - and this is what produced the new breed of Unter Null. No more rhythmic noise but the tracks produced were unconsciously more dance-floor friendly and after a few times around the clubs, "SICK FUCK" because a super big deal somehow, and then Unter Null was signed onto ALFA MATRIX.

Since the signing, there has been 4 releases - 1 EP "SICK FUCK", 1 LP "THE FAILURE EPIPHANY", and 2 EPs "ABSOLUTION" + "SACRAMENT". UN has been featured on numerous compilations from all over the globe, and has provided several remixes to some really great artists.

As far as live shows, UN started out the live circuit by mostly playing in Washington state and Oregon. The first European gig was in 2005 with 2 dates - one in Holland at Summer Darkness, and one in Belgium.

One year later finds Unter Null touring Europe again, this time playing numerous shows all over the place over the course of a year and a half going to Italy, Austria, Germany, England, France, Scotland, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Greece, Spain, as well as a lengthy tour with mates XP8 in Russia.

Currently, there's no set live line-up as a huge hiatus is needed to finish more music. There's also production going on for my side-project "STRAY" which should be released sometime early 2008. Expect a new Unter Null release in 2008 as well.

In conclusion, this year has brought on-board two talented blokes: Jamie Blacker of E.S.A. and Marko Resurreccion of XP8 and WAST3. Expect some really cool stuff soon.
