the journey is a strange and intersting one. as i type i have just finished my first week of the summer on the road and will do it all over again next week. in honor of the day when we honor the alpha males of our life I have opted to journey back home. i love coming home. home..small west texas town. my dad and i got in the car and drove around today....him showing me where "the new highway" is going in. we drove past the cemetary where 4 generations of my family are burried. i have been on that road many times before...driving slow....wearing black...surrounded by family. As I rode in the car down the cemetary road, the thought came across my mind that someday I will journey to rest him in this same plot of land. I wonder if this is where I will rest as well?

I love having such rich history and such deep roots in one little small town. I have been gone from this place almost 10 years. So much of the person i was 10 years ago is still here ....so much of her is gone. i could never have dreamed 10 years ago of who i would be now. the journey is a strange and interesting one.
