Welcome to Van Cartier Official Virb Site.
Van Cartier is a drummer and percussionist. I started this music journey in 2002. I started out playing Heavy Metal and Indie Rock music in and around London for a few years. In 2005 I took some time out to regroup and grow as a musician and to embrace more culture. Went to Europe and N.Y to check out the music scenes and get more inspiration.
In 2006/2007 I moved towards World Music and Fusion of Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk and Soul. I'm taking time to study and take things to another level. I'm currently studying Music Performance/Management and Events Management.
You can catch me in London performing with Jahson The Scientist, Rhythms Of The City (lead by Barak Schmool), Goldsmiths Vocal Ensemble (lead by Eska Mtungwazi), LCM Percussion Ensemble.
There are other projects in progress. All will be revealed soon, but expect some serious grooves to come you way.
