Nostalgic for the sounds we never heard.

Vehscle is a project organized on reactions to field recordings of our overlooked sonic environment; to the latent functions of instruments; to finding music where none existed before. Individual tracks may contain unadulterated fields; they may be digitally processed beyond recognition, or they may be seminal sonic ideas, from which the final production grew.

Vehscle is mostly the work of one individual, with a growing amounts of material annexed from friends, co-workers, anonymous bystanders (thanks, by the way). The means of production range from solo improvisations on turntable, test-tone record and programming, to compositions of field-recordings and radio broadcasts (check out the lyrics for details). This is music for neither parties nor ambience. This is music for those times we didn't live, the places we weren't, the people we couldn't meet, the sounds we never heard.
