Wow! Sunday was a great day at Gateway! We had around 370 people, which is our highest attendance in quite a while. The Worship Team did an awesome job on Sunday. We sang Salvation Is Here, Solid Rock, and Glorious One. The band absolutely rocked the house on Delirious' Solid Rock. For those not familiar with Delirious' version of the Solid Rock it is a straight up in your face rock song. It uses some of the words from the traditional hymn on the Chorus and the middle section of the song is a rap of the 4 verses of the traditional hymn! Very cool! On the rap section we put some distortion on the lead vocal to simulate the megaphone effect that Delirious uses.

The band rocked the house, but most of all Jesus rocked the house. God's presence was here in a real and powerful way and that is why we are here. We gather and do everything to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. It is exciting to see what God is doing and to look forward to what His is going to do in the future.

Thayer brought a great word on finances and bringing it back to God. Everything we have is God's anyway. We don't give to God, we bring the tithe back to Him because He owns it all! We have the honor of managing God's resources! The next few weeks are going to be great as Thayer continues to preach on "Risky Business". He slaughtered my joke about Joe Sangl being the "Sangles" minister in the 11 a.m. service, but it's all good!

The FFE(Financial Freedom Experience) on February 29 and March 1st is going to be great as well. Joe Sangl, the financial pastor at New Spring Church in Anderson, SC is going to be here to lead FFE.
