P A O L O _ B O N F I G L I O
Nasce il 20 maggio 1972.
Autodidatta, si é sempre interessato e dedicato alle discipline del disegno.
Lavora in vari laboratori teatrali ed atéliers del nord Italia in qualità di pittore e scultore, in collaborazione con Emanuele Luzzati.
Nel 1995, entra in contatto con il poeta e musicista François R. Cambuzat
per l'allestimento dei fondali per il gruppo "Il Gran Teatro Amaro".
Nel 1999 fonda a Kratzeburg il gruppo internazionale di teatro e performance "Transeuropexpress", allestendo lo spettacolo "Komedia".
Collabora al Festival di Musiche Trasversali "Trasporti Marittimi", in qualità di scenografo e videomaker.
Nel 2005 partecipa, con proiezioni dal vivo, al tour europeo del musicista Mick J. Harris, per il quale realizza il film d'arte "Fragments".
Una volta a Genova, espone il video, accompagnato dai disegni, animazioni e fotografie originali, alla galleria Leonardi V-Idea e fonda le edizioni "Casavecchia" e la casa di produzione Videonero.
Il 3 Ottobre dello stesso anno, XV anniversario della riunificazione della Germania, "Fragments" viene proiettato sulla facciata del centro d'arte Tacheles, nel cuore di Berlino, e, nel gennaio del 2006, viene selezionato al Festival di Cinema Indipendente "Les inattendus" di Lione.
"Costruito come un montaggio diapo a partire dai disegni e dai dipinti dell'autore, dalle fotografie e dai video, l'artista esplora i limiti dell'invisibile e dell'indicibile, affascinato dalla morte e dalla sua rappresentazione...", Festival "Les inattendus".
Tornato in Italia, Bonfiglio parte nuovamente per una tournée in ex-Yugoslavia con il cine-concerto Putan CLUB, accompagnando, con video d'animazione e disegni, le musiche di François R. Cambuzat.
Collabora con i "Magazzini Generali" di Milano, dove presenta il video "ARS" ed espone la serie di disegni omonima nel "Museo della Lanterna" di Genova, all'interno della manifestazione "PlayARS".
Realizza proiezioni video dal vivo per la performance teatrale "VU" e per la mostra d'arte "i_City".
Nella primavera del 2007, porta a termine il film d'animazione "MATER",
accompagnato nuovamente dalle musiche di Mick Harris.
Il film "MATER" viene proiettato a Parigi il 6 Ottobre a l' "Espace Canopy" in occasione della "Nuit Blanche" e presentato nello stesso spazio per l'esposizione "Shoot Off".
Contemporaneamente, il film ed i disegni originali vengono messi in mostra nella galleria d'arte "Le Studio Art and You" per l'esposizione "Show off", sempre a Parigi.
"MATER" vince il primo premio del pubblico al concorso internazionale "Arts Numériques Art & You", Parigi 2007.
Esposizioni collettive a Venezia e Genova e viaggi in tutta Europa per presentare il film "MATER" in numerosi festivals di animazione e cinema indipendente.
All'inizio del 2008, Bonfiglio parte per la terza tournée del progetto video-musica "Putan Club" in Francia, Belgio e Spagna.
Paolo Bonfiglio ha esposto disegni, dipinti e films d'arte in tutta Europa, Cina e Corea del Sud.
Vive e lavora in esilio volontario a Monastero B., nelle Langhe.

Was born on 1972.
Selftrained, he has always been interested in drawing.
He worked in many ateliers and theatres as scene-painter in collaboration with Emanuele Luzzati.
He planned and painted the background of the music band "Il Gran Teatro Amaro" and he made the art performance "Komedia" in Kratzeburg in 1999.
He took part to various exhibitions of drawings and comics.
He started his film making activity by planning the video event for the festival "Bergolo 2001". He worked as a teacher at Genoa School of Animation and Cartoons.
In 2004, he carried out the art film "Fragments", based on the music by Mick J. Harris (Napalm Death, Painkiller, Scorn).
He took part to the tour of the musician Mick J. Harris all over France, playing videos in live shows. He made the projection of the film "Fragments" on the wall of the Art Center "Tacheles" in Berlin. He made live projections of the instant-art-movie Putan CLUB in collaboration with the poet and musician François R. Cambuzat (Kim Squad, Il Gran Teatro Amaro, L'Enfance Rouge) in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia.
In 2006, the film "Fragments" is selected and shown at the International Festival of Independent Cinema "Les inattendus" of Lyon. "Construit comme un montage diapos à partir des dessins et des peintures du réalisateur, de photografies et de vidéos, l'artiste explore les limites de l'invisible et de l'indicible, fasciné par la mort et sa représentation...", Les inattendus.
He showed the art video "ARS" at the "Museo della Lanterna" in Genoa and he made video live shows at "Magazzini Generali" in Milan. He made live projections for the theatral performance "VU" and for the art exhibition "i_City". In 2007, he carried out the animated film "MATER", based on the music of Mick J. Harris.
The film "MATER was shown on 6th October 2007 at "L' Espace Canopy" for the "Nuit Blanche" in Paris and it was presented during the exhibition "Shoot Off". It was part of the on line group exhibition on the web site of the "Artandyou" gallery and shown at "LE STUDIO Art and You" art gallery in Paris with a selection of original drawings taken from the film.
The film "MATER" won the first prize of the international contest "Arts Numériques Art & You", Paris 2007.
He took part to two group exhibitions in Venice and Genoa and travelled all over Europe in order to present his film "MATER" in several animation festivals and independent cinema.
In the first period of 2008, Bonfiglio went to France, Belgium and Spain for the third tour of the video-music project "Putan Club".
Paolo Bonfiglio has shown his drawings, paintings and art films all over Europe, China and South Korea.
He lives and works in the Langhe.
