Extending The Web Experience Part 1

Over the last few months (perhaps 6 or 7) I have been evangelizing the need for Web Experience Developers to extend the process well beyond the normal interface for their audiences. What do I mean by this? With the massive growth of Social Networks and Organic Searches coupled with insane amounts of space being consumed by Bloggers - the standard web experience is being challenged at every level. Web users are looking for information in profound new ways and they are doing it more now than ever before. Something that I started to notice more than a year ago - was that people were more attracted to the work that I was doing on my Blog - even more so than within the content of my actual site at http://www.sapienharbor.com. Another thing that I noticed was that people loved to RSS feed the content that I was writing to the RSS Reader of choice - completely bypassing a trip to my blog space. SO with these realizations in mind - I quickly started realizing was that UNLESS there was a way that we could make the sites that we make portable - then we would begin to miss traffic that is being sent in various direction on the web because of a few factors -

1. Bloggers
2. Social Media
3. The Desire for Interaction

So over the next few days I am going to share with you a set of practices that you can use to truly engage your Users and at the same time extend the web experience in a way thats not only effective - but totally seamless.
