I'm a songwriter from Nashville. I've written hits and produced records for lots of artist. My songwriter record, Rodeo Love War, is a collection of 10 songs that I picked from a group of about 16 songs that I wrote over a period of 5 or 6 months that needed a life and a voice....as I didn't easily hear this life coming from the Nashville mainstream crew of artists, I made the record myself. I cut the tracks at Omni Recording in Nash in about seven hours. It was a really simple, musical day with some of my favorite players and best friends. Understanding the concept and language of the record was immediate somehow. The band was Greg Morrow - drums, Michael Brignardello - bass, Eric Darken - percussion, Michael Spriggs & me - acoustic guitars, JT Corenflos - e guitars, Pat Buchanan - e gtrs and John Osborne - e gtrs. I cut the vocals at home using Kim Carnes and Kree Harrison on BGVs and then mixed it there as well with friend & engineer-to-good-to-be-true, David Buchanan. I took the cover shot with the PhotoBooth application that comes on any Mac.....as a record producer I'm used to watching the budget so I cut even myself no slack!
