"From the wilds of Siberia to the shores of the Sea of Japan, Vladivostok came. Fighting off hunger, cold, biting winds and driving rain they bravely fought their way forward. Their fearlessness in the face of great adversities brought them admiration the world over, but also many enemies. Enemies that wished them harm, and even death. This is not only a FACT. But valiant in the face of enmity they stood, four track recorders held victoriously aloft in the frigid Russian air. What? (consider revising) For Vladivostok never fell. Where they stand now nobody knows, but their shadow darkens the wastelands of the north to this very day."

The Red Tape E.P. re-released
A four tracked four track e.p. by Vladivostok recorded in a warehouse in Redfern, Sydney, in March 1998.
So called because it was was released onto a red coloured cassette and then sent to China, where it was heard everyday by millions of citizens of the rural south western-provinces on XingFang FM, the radio station run by the famous teenaged ping-pong player. Eventually the cassette broke, causing disappointment to many. This was to be the last Vladivostok release except that it actually wasn't. Vladivostok went on to tour Hunan,Jiangxi,Guizhou & Sichuan provinces before being politely but very firmly asked to leave China.
"A dark, lost masterpiece of late era vladivostok. They jumped the shark after this it pains me to say" Milton B. Kershaw, Audio & Hifi International Summer 2008 issue
