At the inauguration, opportunities arose:
thrown away, thrown away into meaningless oaths.
We might begin at the inauguration.
but when?

Some days, some places, everything changes face.
You lose the rhyme, opened eyes are night,
close your eyes for light.
Eyes flood into mine, floods subside, then something shines.
Hope is still singing in my ear,
and the music’s still ringing in my ear.

Enter bountifulness when it’s still insufficiency.
Answer with kindness when?
When faced with hostility.
That’s the way, that’s the when.
