About
W4 film is a free, non-commercial, low budget film collective based in halle, europe.
it is a pleasure to realize and accompany a production from the idea to the final work. almost every movie was made with no money, but with lots of heart and spare time. since 2003 we realize no-budget movies in germany together with schools, musicians, non-profit associations or just for ourselves.
I´m very happy and glad to be a part of these productions.

happy new year. the 2009 plannings look like this. a music video for the punk rock band The D.ubes, a web trailer for a Graffiti Webpage with own analogue, electronic music, own graffitis bla bla. but maybe some festivals like this one come in between or my system crashes again. if not maybe we´ll see your movie here. get in contact if you have some ideas. best wishes martin. |

Trunken Hallunken Live in Halle/ Saale
| a live concert with the punk rock band called Trunken Hallunken. this 50 minute, 15 tracks feature was filmed in september 2008 in halle, europe. unfortunatly we didn´t had a third camera available. even though it kicks asses. |
| the cameras are a little bit shaky and the audience has been a little bit too shy , but still it rocks. the band renamed to The D.ubes in december 2008. the song called beate rocked the boat in the local scene. it is about a woman who masturbates. some "political correct" people bothered about it a lot. it would be sexist?! i don´t understand the fuzz about it. but i know these guys are absolutely no machismos, more really relaxed dudes. |

2007
No Title
| this shortmovie was made by my former school friend andré. he was studying at the private university SAE in leipzig, europe. this is his final work. we made our first movie in schooltime together ("Carpe Diem " 2003) and had a good workflow then and here. it is a movie without a title. |
| this last minute movie was full of trouble.dozy staff first, cold, outside wintertimefilming and time pressure by videorental, it was filming against the clock. a 24 hour pedal to the medal run. although we´ve had high quality videoequipment including a camera-dolley and professional staff. great work, great people. |

Salzmann_07
| under the guidance of professionals, two workshops in schools for educationally handycapped pupils in magdeburg , europe started. the so called theateraktionstage. there were theatre, dancing, graffiti, t-shirt printing, theatremask, media, drumworkshops and others. the kids showed their superb talents. we could also learn from them. |
| i was guiding the graffiti workshops in 2 schools. we designed and sprayed a big mural with the kids. it was lots of fun to see them going out of theirselves. the videomaterial was shot by the mediaworkshop and by me, when i had time to. |

2006
Jugend und Hartz 4
| here we have a short documentation about the very high youth unemployment rate all over europe and it´s resulting poverty with halle, eastern germany as an example. this project was supported with public fonds and gives a hint how government try to euphemise unemployment statistics. it was censored by the local providers because it was too critical. specially young people were involved in that project. |
| it took us half a year to accomplish that mission. because we had a low budget we were able to get semi-professional equipment and professional assistance by local filmstudios. although it is censored it has to be published! |

Mozart
| a theatreplay which was presented in front of a nice, old fashioned art-museum called Moritzburg. the well known theatregroup called Apron rocked the place. this is the tv-commercial for the local tv- station in halle, europe. |
| it was lots of fun to work with those guys. this version is without the off.text. it was added later in the tv studio. sound was arranged in the studios of the radiostation called Corax. and equipment was supported by Werkleitz e.V. |

| this is a webtrailer for a local drum ´n´ bass crew called Groundloop and the reggae soundsystem known as Hottstepper-Soundsystem based in halle, europe. the club, called La Bim, is a alternative cinema for almost 18 years now and is based downtown. we tried to get the unique spirit, but the audience didn´t like that cameras watching. anyway it´s the first promovideo ever. guest mc: mc zhi from berlin. |
