Forcefeed officially saw the light of day in September of 2002, when bass-player Johan completed the band. A few months later, in January 2003, the EP 'Choke On A Mouthful' is self-released. This EP is received very enthusiastically by the media, gets the band to play quite a number of shows and creates the interest of several record companies. This eventually results in Forcefeed signing a deal with the independent label Avalanche Music in June of 2003. In December of that same year the recordings start for the debut-album 'When Grey Becomes', which is released in April 2004. Again reactions are praising, Forcefeed start playing more and more live-shows, and in October the record deal with Avalanche Music is prolonged. In February of 2005 the band's first music video appears. The song 'The Things They Say' holds second place in the rock chart of Dutch music station The Box for several weeks, and still gets regular airplay on Dutch MTV. In March Forcefeed start a large series of playing shows just about every weekend. This lasts until halfway through June, when the band starts the recordings for their second album. With cooperation from German producer Mario Dahmen Forcefeed spend the summer of 2005 in the studio recording the successor for 'When Grey Becomes'. This album, entitled 'Stainless', appears on October 20th 2005, and in February 2006 Forcefeed and Avalanche close a promotion- and distribution-deal with Rock Inc, which gets both 'Stainless' as well as 'When Grey Becomes' promoted and distributed throughout Europe.
