Waveform was a project that began in September, 2006. Initially it was for a university Sonic Arts project, my dissertation in fact. My self assigned brief was to record a rock album, in the vein of Tool/ISIS/Pelican/Cult of Luna/Red Sparrowes etc., and to take inspiration from my favourite bands from the post-rock, post-metal, and hard rock genres.

Waveform grew out into a three piece band, which lasted all of 6 months! Unfortunately due to time constraints and a lack of commitment, the band fell through; destined to remain a solo act for the time being.

I feel the album is successful, even if my tutor didn't really seem to understand my intentions. Oh well, it was a good growing experience, and Waveform has now branched out into "The Doppler Shift" (www.virb.com/thedopplershift) of which more music will come forth in the future.

Waveform then, I must retire, for now. Checkout the Doppler Shift if you wish to hear more of my music. Thankyou for all the kind words throughout the past year, it really does mean a lot.
