Ryan Wiedmaier is a freak of a man. Hovering at nearly 7 feet tall he sticks out like a sore thumb wherever he goes.
While originally from the worlds greatest city (Seattle), Ryan went to a little tiny college in a magical land where cold white things fall from the sky all year. People told him it was snow but he doesn't like it much. He would have moved back to his homeland, but while in this magical place known as "Canada" he met a beautiful woman who he fell deeply in love with and they had a beautiful and surrealistically wonderful wedding. They now live in Halifax where they are poorer than anyone they know, but are having a lot of fun. Ryan is currently the Pastor of Youth and Young Adults at Metro Wesleyan Church, and his wife is the Pastor of Creative Arts.
One of his greatest passions in life (Aside from his God and his wife) is photography. Given that his freakishness turns heads wherever he goes, sometimes he finds it a miracle that he can ever take a single candid shot. But that's cool with him because by day he is a mild mannered youth pastor with a cheeto up his nose and a smelly teenager by his side, he's seen enough miracles to know they happen every day, but not enough to know if he has spelled "miracle" correctly.
Wiedmaier wears glasses thicker than coke bottles and as a result, his whole world is a blur of color. He envies black and white photographers with their keen eye for details he would never notice on any given day, but he prefers living in a vivid world of color.
Because of his passion for people, Wiedmaier focuses mainly on portraiture, and his youth pastor job includes the church's powerpoint and design work, which has given him a new love for creating images to fit those needs.
