About
Using electric guitar as a receiver of different frequencies, that various devices transmit into the air, Wo0 creates a spectrum of sounds not usually related to the sound of electric guitar. With his roots in rock, noise and generaly free music, he incorporates those styles into a fresh new approach. Trying to amplify the air may not seem like a good idea and not very easy to do, but he uses his imagination and some serious devices such as : mobile phones, remote control, radio, computer equipment, media players etc., to create very sublte, harmonic, oscillating and deep compositions of structural flow. Not using laptop computer or any other digital sound source while creating, Wo0 is aimed to make 100% organic music. Those frequencies are than processed with effect pedals and looped, supplemented with pure human reaction to all the signals coming from the speakers. Adding ambiental soundscapes, combining contemporary electronic music with his rock roots, Wo0 creates sky noise music, many people described as shoegaze, modern electronic, minimal rock, punk ambient and many other genres. With visual artist Incredible Bob, Wo0 played many shows in Belgrade ( Dis-patch festival, Soundscapes festival, B-link festival at O3one gallery, Museum Of Contemporary Art, Museum Of Applied Art, Cultural Center REX and many others ), Zagreb ( Mars Festival ), Ljubljana ( RE-LAX with Fennesz, Trnfest, Kinodvor cinema, Metelkova with Belgrade Noise Society ), Berlin ( Salon Bruit ), Den Haag ( Today's Art Festival ), Amsterdam, Norberg ( Norberg Festival ), Copenhagen, Malmoe... As a member and founder of Belgrade Noise Society, he is dedicated to explore many different approaches to music. Sometimes that band can count 3 members and sometimes it can count more than 7. Every show by this band is different which is a result of everlasting experimentation and exploration, but also as a result of different members that played on different shows. At this point, the collective is : Dusan Zica on synths, Dusan Damnjanovic on drums, Milos Pajagic on bass and Ivan Ckonjevic & WoO on guitars.
