vietnam was breath taking - in more ways than one. halong bay in northern viet was like being in a dream - sailing thru the majestic humps in the sea...... hanoi and ho chi mihn city were polluted with black exhaust from the overkill in moped usage. it causes respiratory issues w/ visitors to the area. tough to breathe. but all in all it was a trip to remember (aren't they all?). can't beat spending a full day at the spa for $15 usd.

i've never been to naples italy - mount vesuvio. (i live in naples florida, completely opposite, it's flatter than flat here). in italy i've been to rome, abruzzo, isla d' elba (my favorite island so far) and the amalfi coast, capri. loved it all.

i did, however, camp at the base of pu'u o'o while it was erupting (big island of hawaii). that was a spectacle!

this morning my friend in australia woke me up w/ a phone call telling to watch the last portion of the tour de france, the aerials were awesome. i've never been to paris but it was cool watching, they did a great job filming!
