Tuesday got off to a terrific start recording two songs, and then we headed off to Trophy's for our long-anticipated first shot at the Trophy's open mic night.

We showed up, signed up for the 10:40PM slot, chilled a bit at my new place, and headed back to the club to rock. When we got there, Sunny (new MC!) told us we were up next. Our surprise doubled when I realized that none of the people I'm used to seeing at Trophy's were there. Where was everyone?

Nonetheless, there was a decent crowd of people seated in the middle and a few more around the edges, so when our turn came (thanks to Bill Davis for the setup), we launched into our biggest hit Sylvia.

It went great, and at the end, after weak applause, all nice people sitting in the middle got up and went outside to smoke. We cleared the room! It was awesome. For our stalwart fans (and sound guys Matt and Matt) we then launched into Can't Keep Track. It went well, too, and that was that.

Afterwards, Matt who wasn't Meshbane suggested we should be a comedy act and play at comedy open mics instead of music open mics. We'll keep his suggestion in mind, especially since we tortured him by not answering for a long time when he said, "Oh shit! Do you guys take yourselves seriously?" Another beautiful moment.

It only took a few minutes for our friends and fans to start pouring into the place, sharing their disappointment at missing our set. Don't worry. We'll be back to rock Trophy's again! And next time, we'll clear out a crowd three times as big!
