Matthew 28:19-20

This is the second week of this series and we will take another look at what Jesus meant when he talked about being disciples. First thing we noticed is that a disciple is called to a lifetime of discipleship or in other words always learning about God. This week we turn our attention to another meaning of disciple, which is a lifetime of service and work. Jesus was reminding the disciples that they must continue the good work and service. They must continue to serve their God. Jesus wants us to do the same. He wants us, as Christ Followers, to serve Him. I am going to challenge the students to get involved somehow this year in one of the ministries at church. We have now learned in the past two weeks that we are called to be a lifetime learner of Christ and also a lifetime servant/worker.
